Working with Nature
We emphasize the use of natural and local materials. This not only grounds the creative process in the local environment but also teaches us to respect and care for the resources we use. Common materials include:
- Clay: Hand-building techniques to create functional and artistic objects.
- Natural Fibers: Weaving and basketry using local grasses and vines.
- Found Objects: Creating sculptures and installations from stones, wood, and seed pods.
- Recycled Materials: Giving new life to what others might consider waste.
